We have a number of houses for rent in Collie WA. Our houses are particularly suited for rent by contractors and their employees working in the region but families are welcome to apply.
The town of Collie in Western Australia is approximately 200km (2hrs) south of Perth, and 60km inland from the port city of Bunbury.
Collie is much closer to Worsley and the other major employers and projects in the region than Bunbury is. A shorter drive home will give you more time to rest and relax away from the bustle of work and an opportunity to enjoy the country life in this welcoming community.
Set in the picturesque Collie River Valley – amongst rolling hills, State Forest, bushland and the Collie River – the town of Collie is strategically and conveniently located only 60 kilometres from the regional Port City of Bunbury and 200 kilometres from Perth in the South West of Western Australia.
There are a selection of major industries operating in the area which consequently offers good business and employment opportunities. Collie is historically a coalfield (the only one in Western Australia) and this is currently worked through Griffin Coal Mining Company and Wesfarmers Premier Coal Ltd, who together employ 570. In addition to Mining, Power Generation has also played an important role in the development of Collie, with the Muja Power Station currently providing employment for 239. Collie also has Worsley Alumina within its Shire Boundary. Worsley is a significant employer in the South West with some 930 employees.
